My Uncle served with the 319th. He was killed in combat over Wewak on 12/1/43. His pilot was Dick Adams. 6 lived 4 died. Crashed in the water on the South end of New Britian between Long Island and the NG coast. My uncle's name was Philip J LaGarde Jr, Tail gunner
