Re: Father was attached to 2nd Observation Sqd. at Nichols Field, Dec. 1941

To MARK DUNN and others who wish to contact Ben Steele, to my knowledge the only surviving member of the 2nd Observation Squadron.

BEFORE YOU TRY TO CONTACT MR STEELE: I suggest you read the two following articles regarding Mr. Ben Steele's war experiences.

ARTICLE #1: This first article tells about his war experiences. It also includes six DRAWINGS depicting the tragic experiences of POWs who were with him. There is a link at the bottom for those who want to see a full catalog of his drawings and perhaps order some. There is no url for contacting him personally, however.

ARTICLE #2: This second article gives an exact chronology of his life including those war experiences.

PERSONALLY CONTACTING MR. STEELE:

The source from which I obtained this address states he is not sure it is correct. Please be aware that Mr. Steele is 91 years old. He deserves our courtesy and respect. I don't know how he will feel about strangers contacting him in this manner. Hopefully he will not object.

Benjamin C Steele Jr,

Glad to be of service to anyone with relatives who were on Bataan, especially someone from the 2nd Observation Squadron.
